Default Opinions of upgrading titles you already have

I've been kind of torn lately on what to do with new "collector's editions" of blu rays I already have.

Scream factory, in particular, keeps releasing double dips of many favorites of mine.

I double dipped on HALLOWEEN 2 and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and I didn't think the PQ upgrade was that dramatic.

I've read that several other titles offer a minimal upgrade as well.

Now-- CARRIE, THE THING, EXORCIST 3, BLACK CHRISTMAS, etc are all titles that I keep debating on buying again.

I think the biggest thing that's holding me back is the fact that there may be a true 4k version of these flicks in the not so far distant future... and the biggest factor of me double dipping titles is a clear upgrade to PQ, not extras

On top of that after reading the glowing reviews of the titles above, now I'm seeing posts complaining of PQ issues on specific transfer issues (color, panning shots, etc)

Just wanted to hear other members thoughts about what they think....
