Jet Li's Hero on Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

I was watching my Jay and Silent Bob strike back and in the previews it shows Hero with Jet Li on blu ray ... is that out already? I've never seen it. Any insight? Cause it showed it with some others that were already out.

(I searched the forums but ofcourse it came up with alot of guitar hero and super hero stuff)

Hero is a fantastic movie and easily Jet Li's best. (IMO) It is visually stunning and should look great on Blu Ray, but this is the first I've heard of it being released. Might be similar to Sin City and Kill Bill, announced but has yet to set a date as to when we'll be able to buy.

As a diehard Jet Li fan I'd have to agree that Hero was probably not his most exciting movie but visually it's wonderful and storywise it was probably one of his most thought prevoking movies. However, call me simple, I will take Fists of Legend on BD over Hero on BD any day of the week. I know it's a Bruce Lee remake but it's just so damn good.

its definitely more of a story and more visually stimulating not action full time ,still a great film but def would not keep the attention of someone expecting action and the jet li typical movie

I know a lot of people who hated Matrix, Lord ofthe Rings, Star Wars, etc...so no biggie...

The one I saw shown was a definite US version, plus it was the original black looking cover it had when first released on DVD.

a few people have also said the PQ was pretty bad so its just not the reviewer disliking the movie.

I would also love to have this title on Blu-Ray. I already have House Of Flying Daggers, so it would make a nice set to have Hero as well.

I can also agree that this film is not to everyones liking. It has a slow pace, and the story told from multiple points of view can get a bit tedious. But it still remains a personnel fav and I prefer it over titles such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Hero is in my top 3 movies of all time at the moment. Absolutely fantastic story and cinemaphotography. One of Jet Li's finest, followed by Fist of Legend.
