Default Mickey Rourke SLAMS his next 2 movies (& Megan Fox, somewhat)

Dark Horizons - News Shorts - 4/15/11:

"Full props to Mickey Rourke for his honesty. The actor has slammed two upcoming films in which he stars - "13" and "Passion Play". He calls the first a "really bad movie", the second "another terrible movie"..."

Anyway, click the link HERE to see what he said about them, & Megan Fox.

I Have seen the trailer for "Passion Play" & it didn't impress me at all. Anyone else seen it?

Well thats Mickey for you, one of the most straight forward guys in Hollywood. I did not see much of a Megan Fox diss but it is funny he said those two movies where terrible. I just wonder how he can do that because i thought up until a movie comes out the actors have to promote it or at least not trash it.

I think it was the "that I've worked with (smirk)" part that might be construed as a diss. I read that Bill Murray fell asleep during a screening of this movie. I saw the trailer last week, and I think this will be a movie that I won't be seeing.

Then why is he in them? Surely The Wrestler and Iron Man 2 got him into the picture enough to be slightly more picky than he could be before them?

Maybe these roles were paying much higher than he would have made for the roles in the movies he thought were good.
Or maybe he thought these movies would turn out good, but the process or final product didn't turn out well in his opinion. Either way, he probably shouldn't be slamming his movies that are not out yet. It is definitely not professional and not very smart unless he thinks his career is unstoppable.

Yea, he didn't really "slam" or "diss" too harshly on Ms. Fox - Hell, we can do that ourselves by seeing her attempted "Acting" in "JENNIFER'S BODY" & in this trailer, right?!

I've not seen or read anything yet on "13", so who knows about that one.

This guy lost my respect when favs and RDJ went to bat to get him in IM2 and he then turns around and throws them under the bus because IM2 wasn't as good as the first.

well he didnt write the character, you cant shine shit. Whiplash was a total one dimensional cartoon villain there wasnt much to do with it.
and i dont know exactly what he said about them, but i do know that they didnt exactly 'go to bat' for him as much as go on their own crusade to get him. he turned the role down initially, its not like he wanted it and they fought for him.

and now he's backtracing!!!

Quote:
A few days ago, NY Mag approached Mickey Rourke and asked him about his upcoming movie "Passion Play," which is directed by his good friend Mitch Glazer.

The actor called the movie "terrible," adding that it's getting a limit release "because it's not very good." When asked whether he still thinks that his co-star Megan Fox is "one of the most talented actresses of all time," Rourke replied smirking: "that I've worked with."

NY Mag now caught up with Rourke again, but this time, the actor took the opportunity to apologize for his statements. "When I talked to you, I was at a party. It was loud and crowded, I was in a sh*tty mood and I was trying to get rid of your reporter," he said. "Mitch is one of my best friends since we were kids. I loved working with him and would do it again tomorrow. I don't know why I said that stupid sh*t. I love Mitch, I love Megan. My bad."

yea yea yea - whatever Mickey. "it was loud, I was at a party" -- then why do the interview?! (&, if you're in a bad mood to boot!) - what a tool.

wouldn't this make any company have 2nd thoughts of hiring him for this. They're not out yet and he bashes them. You can bash your bad movies years later. his agent must have made him say sorry because of it.
