USA Renews Burn Notice for Seasons 5 AND 6!

Quote:
The USA Network has made plans to burn up the cable ratings for two more seasons. Variety is reporting that the USA Network has handed out fifth and sixth season orders for the hit series Burn Notice, two months before Season 4 is set to air.

The show of confidence in this Matt Nix isn't entirely surprising, since it's the highest-rated show on basic cable, averaging 7.1 million viewers for Season 3, with 6.1 million viewers tuning in for the season finale. Having the show noticed on a late-night comedy series also helped.

"Once Saturday Night Live makes fun of you, how can you not commit to extra seasons?" said Jeff Wachtel, the USA Network's president of original programming. Wachtel was referring to a skit on the long-running series where quiz show contestants were asked questions about Burn Notice.

It was said that Season 5 will run a minimum of 15 episodes while Season 6 will receive a minimum of 18 episodes. Season 4 is currently shooting in Miami and Season 5 will start production in about a year from now.

Read earlier that Jeffrey and Matt Bomer of White Collar have pitched a cross-over episode for this season.

Yeah I'd heard that as well. Not that those two had pitched it, but that there could be a crossover of USA shows. I'd heard the "Royal Pains/Burn Notice" one, as well as a White Collar/Burn Notice.

I think it'd be cool. Always a fan of crossovers if done right.

I agree. A crossover like those two could be fun if done right, especially since I watch all three of those shows.

Anyways, really looking forward to Season 4. This is one of my favorite shows.

If you're local to the Los Angeles area, and you want to spend an evening with some of the Burn Notice folk, the Paley Center has an event next week, Thursday, May 13th.

And if you're really lucky, maybe Bruce Campbell will show up and start handing out money like he did at last year's Comic-Con. Let's face it, everybody loves Bruce!

Oh damn you Matt! After outstanding performances on two great back to back series, FNL and Chicago Code you follow up with a show I refuse to watch? Well I enjoyed your work while I watched, Groo I will never end my feud with this, NEVER!!!!!!!!!

Burn Notice Scoops Up Chicago Code Cop Matt Lauria

Quote:
Well that didn’t take long. The ink on Chicago Code‘s death certificate is still drying and yet Matt Lauria has already lined up his next gig.

The in-demand actor has booked a potentially recurring role on Burn Notice, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.

The Friday Night Lights grad — who turns up in fifth episode of the USA Network hit’s upcoming fifth season — plays Ethan, a discharged soldier whose intelligence and tenacity piques the interest of the CIA and reminds Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) of himself.

Burn Notice‘s fifth season is set to premiere on June 23.

I'm going to pass around Hollywood a list of actors to get on USA shows exclusively.

Michael Chiklis
Walton Goggins
Garrett Dillahunt
Sarah Shahi

I'm really hoping that there'll be a White Collar/Burn Notice crossover. I'm still upset that they won't release season 2 of White Collar on BD and 1, 3 seasons of Burn Notice.
