Default The Beaver

http://www.imdb.com/news/ni0770148/

Quote:
Funnyman Jim Carrey could soon be taking orders from Jodie Foster - the actress is in talks to direct his new film The Beaver.

The movie, written by Kyle Killen, is about a man who becomes reliant on his beaver hand puppet for company.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Steve Carrell, who was previously linked to the leading role, looks set to be replaced by Carrey and Foster is in negotiations to helm the project.

Ugh. The joke is just TOO easy to make.

Perhaps Kelly McGillis will come out of retirement to star.

Quote:
The Beaver, directed by Jodie Foster, is about Walter (Mel Gibson), troubled father and husband and CEO of a stalling toy company [who gives voice to] The Beaver, a glove puppet that Walter finds, starts to wear without pause, and adopts as a kind of avatar through which he carries out all of his communication. Almost all of the dialogue given to the lead actor throughout the entire screenplay will have to come from the Beaver, and be delivered in what screenwriter Kyle Killen describes as a “crisp English accent.” [FirstShowing]

I thought this sounded really funny back when it was Steve Carell and then Jim Carrey, but Gibson is going to own this film.

Well its about time Gibson gets back to acting. What was his last movie Signs or We Were Brothers, still its been a long time. So I would welcome this one.

I would prefer to see a movie where Gibson is directing and Foster is handling the beaver.

The Beaver was talked about last night on Jimmy Kimmel while promoting Edge of Darkness. There was a new photo.
