I got the 805 and run it to my Mirage omni v2 speakers and some 550 for the rear. Crutchfield.com always has a great deal on all speakers. i love the mirage speakers with the omnipolar technology.

Get Klipsch Reference Series or Definitive Technology speakers. You can't go wrong with either.

Speakers are personal preference. You need to go audition speakers and then decide what you want.

True that. Speakers are 100% subjective. If you go and listen to some speakers and you think that some Yamaha bookshelves sound better than the Vienna Acoustics, then you're right they do. It is all up to your ears.

Personally, I don't think that the Klipsch Reference series is THAT much better than the Synergy series. You can always save some dough. But if you are going balls to the wall, getting Vienna Acoustic that run at 4ohms, with a really good Denon, Onkyo, or Yamaha receiver will give you the best technical sound. It will also cost you about $25,000.

I have both a Mirage Omnisats and a Klipsch reference system. The Klipsch is hooked to a DENON receiver and it is a better system but the Mirage system is great for my bedroom system and is also hooked to a DENON. They are both great but my wife likes the Mirage system better because it takes up no space where as the Klipsch system takes over the room it's in.

While I will agree with the above posts and say that speakers are a personal preference, I would throw in my 2 cents and recommend the Klipsch Reference Series as well. Awesome speakers!

This is so very critical.

You should bring your favorite CD or movie, and by favorite, it's best if it is something you listen to often.

If you go to some small specialty places, they might even allow you to loan a demo set to bring home to try, that would be best as your room and environment plays a pretty big role in how the speakers will sound.

A lot of people like Klipsch, but a lot also don't like them. Klipsch is one of those speakers you really have to listen to, and compare to other speakers. You will either like them or hate them.

Its true that speakers are subjective and people have their preference. I (please don't hurt me) have always gone with Bose. They sound very good to me and are of high quality. They cost a good penney, but its a high quality product.
