Default WB anti Blu-ray - TROY?

I have been to 5-6 different stores in the San Francisco Bay Area

2 different Frys Electronics
2 different Circuit Cities
1 Best Buy
1 Target

Non of them have Troy in stock. Non of the have any sign that Troy exists on Blu-Ray. They have plenty of copies of Troy on HD-DVD but not a single one on Blu-Ray.

The Target I went to had 4 columns of Blu-Ray and 2 of HD-DVD. Their HD-DVD section had 3 slots fully stocked with Troy but their Blu-Ray section had 0 slots allocated for Troy.

Is WB short changing Blu-Ray when it comes to Troy?

Nope - nobody is buying the HD DVD of Troy.
Just wait till next week's top 10 sellers and you'll see no sign of the Troy HD DVD, but you will find the Blu-ray one there.

You people should be a little more careful with your wording of thread titles.
The titles is ridiculous when the subject matter is looked at.

I really hope WB see's this as well that all their damn titles that are coming out in both formats that blu is kicking its ass. I bet if they released batman begins and matrix it would sell more copies in the first week than hd dvd has sold since they have been out.

My point is, why is the stock so much lower at all of these stores when compared to HD-DVD. Why would stores be stocking the HD-DVD version and have no sign of the Blu-Ray version?

Did they not get any? If so, why?

I'm 90% sure it would. I know I would buy both on release day.

It isn't that they didn't stock it, it is that the blu version sold out quickly. I remember when I went to my BB 4 of the 7 people in line had TROY for Blu with them

There was also concern of it shipping late, so many who may have ordered it online ran out to stores to buy it. My Fry's had 5-6 on Tuesday night.

EXACTLY. Chill eveyone on the Troy drama. How many threads do we need on this.

Blu-ray is going to kick the pants off HD-DVD by year end. Has anyone posting these "drama" threads actually looked at the Universal release schedule for HD-DVD for Q4?? Please do so for a good laugh.

It will show up at retail but be patient with overbooked pressing facilities for Blu-ray right now.

If they sold out there would be some sign of it (price sticker, empty shelf space) but there is nothing.

SO anyone see a copy near 880 from Santa Clara all the way to 80 in Berkeley?
I would like to pick one up on my commute home.

Can you post a link to the Universal HD-DVD release schedule? I am curious to see.

You bet.

Folks... unless WB gets a HD-DVD PG "payoff" I don't think we have much to worry about. I mean look at it. This is the big competition we have to worry about compared to:

Spider-Man
Ratatoille
Cars
Close Encounters of the Thrid Kind
Die Hard
POTC
Fantastic Four
Robocop

Is there really any need for so much concern?

Hasnt the HDDVD version been out for months? Of course they're going to have it in stock.

The fact that the bluray version is sold out everywhere is a good sign.
