Im a PS3 fan, but i have to congratulations to Halo 3 for making 170 million in a day, thats better than any other entertainment product in the world for sales.

I had an XBOX 360 for almost a year. I bought one game Gears of War. I was planning on buying a second game Halo 3, but I realized that one game does not justify keeping a console so I sold the XBOX 360. I have no regrets. I will use the money towards another PS3 for my son's room.

170 million is very impressive. There must be a title which can counter this. Perhaps MGS4.

With Microsoft, I always have to wonder if that's based on copies in the hands of end users, or is that what they sold to retailers and renters.

Well, the sales numbers are based on couple of months of pre-orders, 1.7 million pre-oders.

Very impressive numbers, I believe it is a record, but it's not all sold in a day technically.

I bet you won't see this title in their "Platinum Hits" series anytime soon even though it has gone multi-platinum

170mil may include, special console, special controllers, special headset ect. ect. ect.

HOW MANY COPIES OF THE GAME HAVE BEEN SOLD???

How is this a record when wow has over 8 million subscriptions, maybe in one day total sales but no way in hell has any game even got within seeing distance of the blizzard machine!

It's for First day sells only.

Yes, it's crazy how many people are playing and paying for World of Warcraft. It's what $15 a month? Times that with 8 million = $120 million a month.
How much money does it cost to run the game for a month?

Personally I like the idea behind MRPG, I just refuse to spend $120 to $180 a year just to play a game I had to buy.

Halo 4 will top Halo 3.

Also MS has Gears of War and Fable. Those are both really really good games.

That is about it. I will prob buy a 360 for Fable 2.
