Default Buffy the Vampire Slayer- Season 8 Motion Comic Blu-ray

Amazon just put up a pre-order for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 motion comic:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8 Motion Comic Blu-ray

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8 Motion Comic Blu-ray Review

Really looking forward to this, even though it doesn't appear they are using any of the original cast for the voices.

Buffy is my all time favorite show so i am really looking forward to this. I had no idea they even made a motion comic for season 8 but i am glad they did.

I'll definitely be picking this up to put it with the rest of my seasons of the show
The comic was great, so I'm looking forward to getting the motion comic version. Should be fun to watch

As someone who just doesn't enjoy comic books, I might pick this up and I really hope ANGEL season 6 gets a similar release so I can see that story as well.

I would love to see the TV Seasons of Buffy and Angel to but BD but, it would take a lot of work from Fox as most of the special effects were rendered in SD. We can but hope though

Even after FOX f**ked Joss during the making of the movie. Then years later with his other 2 shows. Even with the a series boxset being a BIG seller I just don't see FOX caring enough to do it.

I liked to comics up until the issue with the buffy fan written in. I hope they do good on this. The biggest sale killer for me is that they wont get the original cast members from the show to do this and just half ass it.

My intuition tells me this release is a market test by Fox to gauge the potential sales of the real Buffy show for Blu-ray. If it sells like gangbusters, do not be surprised to see the real show released on BD.

I'm sorry but FOX is just f**king with the Buffy fans. They just need to release the series on BD and watch the Green roll in.

My intuition is that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and that Fox is releasing this on Blu-Ray because they'd rather have Blu-Ray owners paying a few extra bucks to get Blu-Ray copy than have Blu-Ray owners paying a few bucks less for a DVD copy or even refusing to pay anything for a DVD copy.

As people have said before in this thread, releasing the show on Blu-Ray would be an enormous and expensive undertaking and I don't think this release really has anything to do with gauging interest. Fox knows the interest is there and I bet they also know that this thing would only sell a fraction of what a live-action release featuring the real cast would sell.

Ultimately my intuition also tells me that this release shows that Fox would be more than happy to release Buffy on Blu-Ray if it were as easy as releasing this motion comic on Blu-Ray is. It just isn't as easy.

Yeah no kidding i know most shows are not financially safe bets right now but Buffy would do well i think. If they did do it i would just want a complete series set. I don't know about other fans but i would pay $300 for Buffy and $250 for Angel complete BD sets.

I wonder what it covers up to. Or has it wound up. I've just been buying the TPBs and didn't realise it had wound up.

It shows the comic in a movie type format with voice actors(not the shows stars) for the characters. Some are pretty darn good while others suck pretty bad.
