PS3 audio question - Blu-ray Forum

I believe I know, but trying to see if any experts on the PS3 can confirm this as it relates to SACD.

If I have a process with HDMI 1.1 will it be able to receive 5.1 PCM audio from the PS3 for Blu-ray disks as well as SACDs?

I know HDMI 1.2 added support for SACD, but if the PS3 converts DSD to PCM and outputs it over HDMI, will a process using HDMI 1.1 then play it in multi-channel?

sorry, not an expert in this subject. i understand that ps3 is hdmi 1.3a

I believe so... Provided the reciever actually accepts audio signals.
