Default BB survey prompts HD education

In this week's issue of Home Media Magazine (same mag where we're getting the nielsen numbers: http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/ques...3007/index.php then "turn" to page 10) there was a mind-boggling article about a survey the BB did with 1012 adults. Here are some fascinating numbers:

40% didn't identify the need of an HDTV to enjoy hi-def content

44% did not know they needed hi-def programming or a hi-def antenna

over 50% said they only budgeted for an HDTV, thinking that was enough to view hi-def.

I am pretty sure we already discussed this issue...or maybe this is deja vu?

Honest mistake. It's hard to find some things on this forum. But still a good subject.

That survey is a few months old but sadly I am sure the numbers are still pretty accurate.
