Education needed

Just found that thread titled "When Transformers for Blu Ray?" on the World of Warcraft OT (Off Topic) forum, but can't post in that forum from work due to firewall.

You have a few decent people answering rationally, but also one or two FUD spreaders (one of em: "Blu is technically inferior, so why would you want it anyway" and the other "at best Blu is tied with HDDVD in releases, the only support its getting is from Japan and Europe").
I fgured 1 or 2 people here could post a -nice- answer, posting -facts- showing that Blu-Ray is the way to go.

I've seen lots of FUDs anti - Sony in that forum (lots of Nintendo fanboys mostly), but remember that WoW is a 9Million player game and probably a few thousand at the least go there each day, so lets keep it nice and mature (not that the OT forum is that nice and mature in the first place, but I think that taking the high road is the way to go really)
