Default decisions, decisions, decisions

hey all, i've posted a few times recently about things here and there, but now i am posting for full on opinions. I am looking for a new tv, i'm a law student and so my budget is tighter than some (blurays/ps3 is the only thing I do to get away from the hell that is law school). Due to the budget concern, I was drawn to plasma. I have a 32 in samsung (35h) right now, and I love it, but I want bigger. I play ps3 (cod) a decent amount, and love film. As it appears, appreciation of a movie in its best possible presentation and playin ps3 seem to conflict. If i had assurance that the samsung b650 would not have IR to the degree that some people claim, than i'd be sold. (love the v10, pretty expensive; g10 has flickering or juddering displaying 24p as i'm told). The 860 is freakin sweet, but paying an extra 500 for a thin panel is a waste in my opinion.

I know this is the plasma thread, but i'll go ahead anyway...Since i'm so unsure about the possibility of IR, I went back to lcd (despite the obvious degredation of quality - black level, color, etc.). The samsungs however seem to have an input lag, otherwise the b750 would be mine. The sony's have edge lighting issues, and any others i'm not keen on. Led's seem to be a waste of money. So, i seem to have come down to the pn50b650 vs. ln46b750 (IR vs. input lag) or the sony 46w5100. So, whatd you all think?

Since you have such concerns about LCD, then I think the plasma is the only way to go.

blacks are about the same on all the tv you have mentioned above lcd and plasma..... i would worry about input lag for gaming... but really have a close look at both v/g10 and the 650 both very comparible to each other...
