There is obviously far more manufacturer support here for Blu-Ray than HD-DVD. Just about every display manufacturer is showing off Blu-Ray on their new projection equipment.

The demo material I have seen, most of it sourced from the Pioneer BDP-HD1, looks tremendous!

It's going to be an interesting showdown for sure!"

"We saw the Blu-Ray being played through the Pioneer Elite BDP-HD1 and it looked tremendous!

I would say it looked *as good* as HD-DVD.

Interesting....

Walking around this show I definately get the feeling that Blu-Ray is going to have a huge launch. There is much more of a Blu-Ray presence among manufacturers than HD-DVD. The stuff that is being displayed in Blu-Ray looks sensational."

"I have been watching a lot of Blu-Ray material being pumped through flagship 3-chip front projectors (such as the Sim2 and Sony VW50) onto large screens. Most of it has been animation that looks quite stunning. For me, the format looks as impressive as HD-DVD."

Man it looks like what i've been saying all along is comming to fruition, JTK has also been a big theorist of this as well...

4th quarter is going to be wicked for BD, HDDVD better have some serious tricks up their sleeves or it might be over before it even gets started.
