Wonderful day @ Future Shop (Vancouver BC) today

Hey folks,

Just got back from Future Shop here in Vancouver, BC (Canada to our friends down south and in the EU) and I just wanted to say that the location I was in are WELL stocked with all of Oct 2nd's BD releases. I saw lots of FF:ROTSS and The Day After Tomorrow as well as Dracula and all of the Anchor By titles. So it's safe to say that upon walking into the store I was more than pleased to see the sheer number of Blu-ray titles staring at me; but the best part was yet to come.

After selecting Day of the Dead and The Day After tomorrow (could only afford two today) I headed up to the till to hand over my cash. I already knew I was taking a bit of a kick with the $34.99 price tag on TDAT but when the clerk scanned it through it came up as $36.99. Not seeing this before I handed over my payment I made it half-way out of the store before I took a peek at my reciept. I proptly turned around and informed the clerk that he had over charged me by $2 for TDAT. A little surprised he directed me over to customer service to get the diffrence paid back to me. Here's the good part... I was informed by the CSR that because of the discrepency (in thier favor) between the tag and the scan price on the disc I was entitled to recieve $10 off the price of the suspect disc! Awesome! $24.99 for TDAT.

I guess it pays to pay attention at the cash register, huh? My only advice to all of you if you encounter something like this on your next shopping trip is to wait, even if you notice the discrepency before hand, wait for the clerk to ring you through... then mention the price issue. The CSR told me that had I caught the problem before my payment had been processd I wouldn't have been given the price pro.

Anyway, just wnated to sahre a cool little moment with all of you and also to say that there in no shortage of all of the new BD titles at Future Shop... al least in Vancouver.
