Very good show. Brutal and bloody. I have 1 episode left to watch.

In what way is the UK set allegedly censored? I watched the whole thing on (UK) blu and noticed no censorship...

What was censored in the UK release? Because all the graphic violence, strong language, drug use, and so forth seemed completely intact here.

My guess is nothing. The only place outside of the above post that I have seen it claimed anything was censored on the UK release is in one review on Amazon, but it's not clear if the reviewer was simply talking nonsense or was reviewing another release [since Amazon conflates them].

Best Buy was where I got my copy from, so it's possible, though my store only had 3 total copies before I bought mine.

Got a belated site review up for this one. Great series if you're still on the fence!

Had me worried for a second there when I read about 10 episodes (thinking it was going to be like War & Peace...), but then I realised the first feature-length one was split into two for the US.

I noticed that the US set suffers from PAL slowdown, much like Doctor Who S5 onwards (and a lot of UK shows transferred to US Blu-Rays).
Such is life when the UK still broadcasts at 50i and the US is 60i.

What a wonderful world it would be if all countries adopted a 24fps, progressive (rather than interlaced) format for when we may eventually get to UHD (2160p) broadcasts.

There is a release included here for season two releasing on Tuesday, but it seems to be a DVD:

Can confirm it is only dvd. I ordered it from amazon and at the time it said blu-ray, but today it was just delivered and it’s dvd. Checked amazon and they changed it to dvd on the site.

This same thing apparently happened to me. It's not delivered yet but is out for delivery so I guess I'm sending it back.

What a letdown.

Damn. Maybe there's a chance RLJE could release a blu later down the line. But I really wish they would have stayed persistent with keeping it to the better format. So tired of shows starting on blu then being dvd only.

I had this pre-ordered through Bullmoose and just got a shipping notice. Will report back if I do indeed receive this on blu.

Kind of lame if season 2 is dvd only. Shows like Discovery of Witches, Creepshow, Cursed Films, History of Horror and Slasher all got multiple season releases. I'd say Gangs of London is just as popular as those.

Nope. It arrived today and it's the DVD. RLJ really screwed the pooch on this one.
