Default sooo i got a blu-ray store demo. not sure how though

yesterday I came home to find a small package from ups on my doorstep. in it was a blu ray disc from the bda themselves, one of those in store demos that shows different movie clips as well as the side by side comparison of dvd and blu-ray. using it I finally got my wife to admit she sees the difference between dvd and blu ray. hahahaha. has anyone else gotten these? any idea how it came to be on my doorstep? is there a blu ray fairy?

I don't think so as the Blu-Fairy usually leaves discs under your pillow.

I didn't order it, that's the weird thing. but its got video clips and the symbols of all the supporting studios (including paramount), the supporting music labels, CEs, etc etc.

I still think its the blu fairy. I got my wisdom teeth pulled last month. perhaps to cut costs the blu fairy now uses ups instead of union labor?

maybe you have ordered some movies from amazon or one of those companies online and then somehow the BDA gets your street address and sends you a demo because they realized that you love Blu-Ray movies

You did order it, but a long time ago. Dont you remember there was this website you could go to to get a free sampler disc? Almost everybody here signed up for it. Search for it in the forums and you'll find it.

I'm being completely serious.

I remember a while ago that you needed a retailer # in order to get their in store demos. so I gave up, not wanting to have to forge one.

my wife still doesn't think its worth it, but at least she asmits she can see a difference now. thank you blu fairy.

I got one by claiming I had a shop - it was supposed to be replaced with "Volume 2" in June, but the date was extended to December, so the Volume 2 will probably be showcasing much greater interactivity and things like that.
