Worst In-Store Demo You've Seen - Blu-ray Forum

I know we've all seen bad in-store demos... like surround sound headphones and the like... but what is the worst you've seen?

Mine has to be when I was at sears checking the price on a Panny for my friend, they had a DVD and a blu-ray playing side by side and the sales guy walks up, assuming I know nothing, and starts to tell me that the one on the right (standard DVD) looks better because it is hooked up with HDMI and that the one on the left (blu-ray) doesn't look nearly as good because it's hooked up with component cables... I laughed because of course the blu-ray looked far better, being in 1080i through component... I then proceeded to tell him the cable doesnt make much difference if you're not using equivalent sources and he just walked away.

Radioshack demo'd a cellphone to me even though I only wanted to buy a small cable splitter. So annoying.

I went into a Circuit City to listen to a pair of speakers. When I asked the sales guy to put in a CD, he looked at me as though I just asked him to give up one of his kidneys on the spot. Reluctantly, he obliged my request, and then it became apparent why he didn’t want to. The CD & player sounded like a needle skipping on a record.
