Has Pioneer gone neutral? I thought they only supported Blu-Ray? Although that video could have been more informative, but at least they got the studios down. All in all though, it sounded like it favored Blu-Ray just a bit more. To bad Time Warner hasn't gone Blu-Ray exclusive, then on CNN they could run bad news for HD DVD frequently and good news for Blu-Ray frequently. Fox should do that, or do they do already?

It did seem to favor Blu a bit more, except for a Dreamworks/Paramount support and cost. At least he mentioned that's an other 18 month wait (the Paramount thing) and as far as cost goes, not so true anymore, they have dropped in price within the last few weeks. At least people know that Blu has more studio support.

I don't like the "waiting" part though, people are missing out on HD quality just cause of this dumb format war.

QFT

To me 'DVD' anything is dead.

A new era of home entertainment media is upon us.

... per his recs, that's me. I currently own both although I am on selling my xbox 360 & HD peripheral, my friend is going to buy it from me.

...but after Christmas I'm d*an near sure I'll get a 1080p HD DVD player for $200 (they'll have open item ones available). I've already seen open item 1080i HD DVD payers for $200, and it's far from the holiday (prices) and post holiday returns...

I think it's just bizarre how people keep referring to Blu-ray Disc as Blu-ray DVD or a DVD format.

I don't recall anyone referring to DVD as a VHS format or anything like that. However, I have heard of people referring to DVD as CD.

Yes, I liked the fact that she says she has a PS3 and mainly for movies. Oh yes, and she is easy to look at.

For all their vaunted proclamations about cheap players, anything hd-dvd puts out priced at or around 200 will be crippled 1080i.... though I don't understand why you are wanting to piss your money away, as soon as this silliness is over, everything will be released on BD anyway

It simply astounds me how some ass clown on CNN can know so little about the products when there are adolescents on this board with a better ability to communicate the differences, and far more accurately.

That guy was just amature hour and should be summarily dismissed.

That was an interesting video. It sounds like he just knows the basics. I think everyone here knows more than him.
