Sony BDP-S1 Firmware update 2.50

I just recieved a email from Sony telling me there is a new update for my BDP-S1 to 2.50

This utility updates the BDP-S1 firmware to version 2.50, and provides the following benefits:

Improvements over firmware version 2.10:

Improves BD-Java compatibility to enhance interactivity with some BD-ROMs.
Additional improvements over original firmware:

Adds Dolby® TrueHD and Dolby® Digital Plus Audio decoding functionality.
Enhanced playback compatibility with certain BD-ROM format discs.
Improves BD-Java compatibility to enhance interactivity with some BD-ROMs.
Enhanced customer support capability
Compatibility with the newly released BD-R/RE format (BDMV).
Corrects the output signal status information for audio output and display when Linear PCM 5.1 channel soundtracks are played via HDMI.

How about firmware updates for BDP-s300 and BDP-S301? Can you tell me pls if there is any/ I Know the s301 the firmware is 2.0 Thanks in advance.

A firmware update (Version 2.60) is now available for your player. The firmware update will enhance BD-Java compatibility with some BD-ROMs. In particular, it will improve a firmware compatibility issue which can cause some intermittent screen flashing with the interactive pinball game on the Blu-ray Disc version of "Surf’s Up", scheduled for release on October 9, 2007. We strongly recommend you update your player with this firmware update before playing this game.

If you wish to download the firmware update yourself, you may do so through the link below. Please make sure that your PC is equipped with a DVD burner and that you have a compatible (blank) DVD DVD-R/RW disc close at hand (other types of recordable DVDs may work, but -R/RW is recommended).

I was able to watch Fantastic 4: Silver Surfer before I ran the update. It was still on version 2.00 (2 versions back).

After I updated, I tested FF:SS again, and of course it plays fine. The start-up disc loading time seemed to be longer, but the response on the controls seems faster. Also, the pop-up menu seems to work fairly well now. However, it is still not as fast as the PS3.
