Spider-Man 1 and 2 separate Blu-rays? - Blu-ray Forum

Is there any word on whether the first two Spider-Man films will have separate Blu-ray releases? I know you can get all three in a boxset (and I was tempted to, as I saw it for £20 in Blockbuster today), but the first two films have no extras, and people have given mixed views on the PQ of the second film.

Get the box set it is well worth the money the PQ is excellent.

I almost did, but I was put off it because the first two films look like they have no extras on the discs. The DVDs, particularly the first film, had many extras.

Been holding off for this for ages now but will only get them if the artwork is nice and if they come with special features (not too fussed but would be nice). If not then I'll just give in and get the box set after all. Really hope the cover art is a bit different this time

Sithlord75 is right though. That's the reason why they're finally releasing these

Good news. I'm one of those whose SPIDER-MAN 2 disc suddenly stopped working - it's now unreadable in FOUR different players, including a PS3.

Have you checked yours lately?

I had to purchase another copy of Spider-man 2 in the summer as like yours, it just stopped working.

Even if these do come with special features i certainly won't be buying it for a 3rd time.

Wow, that sucks! Spider-Man 2 is the best 1 as well! Makes me not want to buy the box set now. I'll hang on and see what the releases are like nearer the time

For someone like me who hasn't already got the movies on any format, it would be a real treat to skip the vanilla releases and get editions with bonus features.

Steelbooks would not go unappreciated though!

Both are now up for pre-order at Play, priced at £8.99 each. At that price I wouldn't count on them being anything other than the bare bones discs in the trilogy pack.

HMV are calling them 'Deluxe editions', so I will be very suprised if they don't contain any extras.

Hmm, well if they do turn out to be "deluxe editions", then I might well double dip for extras.
