In an early retail announcement, it appears that Anchor Bay Home Entertainment will be distributing a number of Twentieth Century Fox catalog titles on Blu-ray. The preliminary release list includes such diverse titles as:

The Terrorists (1974)
Project X (1987)
License To Drive (1988)
Dutch (1991)
Grand Canyon (1991)
Bad Girls (1994)
The Scout (1994)
Drive Me Crazy (1999)
Monkeybone (2001)

No technical or supplementary details have been revealed for any of these Blu-rays.

According to Amazon, Project X, License To Drive, Dutch, Bad Girls, and Drive Me Crazy are expected to street on January 17, 2012, while The Terrorists, Grand Canyon, The Scout, and Monkeybone have a rumored street date of January 31st, 2012.

Wow I never expected Monkeybone to come to blu-ray. I wonder if they will try to get back the rights to some of their previous Fox releases and put them out on blu

After all, he is the Rock n' Roll Detective.

That would be great.

The bad part of this news is that AB is sitting on some catalog titles that they haven't released yet, and this might slow them down even more.

I have the dvd of drive me crazy, which i got in the walmart 5 dollar bins ages ago.

I used to watch Sabrina, yes.

I also watched Clarissa Explains It All.

I also watched her show on ABC Family called Melissa & Joey, which is fairly recent. She still looks pretty damn good!

I have the DVD of Drive Me Crazy as well and I'm pretty sure I got mine at Walmart for $5 too. lol

That's old school right there. I remember watching that show aswell. She also had a bit part in Can't Hardly Wait.

Warner released that one via their Archive/DVD-R program. Doubt we'll ever get another release of that, but then again--I never thought I'd see License to Drive on BD, either.

Grand Canyon. One of the great pictures of the 1990s. Amazing cast, solid writing, lovely score. The last great film from writer/director Lawrence Kasdan.

I have probably lent this title on DVD out to more people than any title I own, and I always get it back with comments like "Wow, how did I missing seeing this great movie back when it was released? They don't make adult movies with big ideas and questions like this anymore."

No car chases or explosions, or aliens... just a thoughtful, intelligent film.

I'm more excited about this release than any title I've seen come out in the past year...
