Uncle was a Vampire was teased at the end of 2021 in a video, so that could be in there.

As I wrote in the Severin thread, the image they’re using for the cover of the box is from 2 different Italian posters for Dark Places (1973). The Italian title was La Scala Della Follia. Painted by Enzo Nistri.

Really? Fabulous, I’ve been hoping that would get a release.

DARK PLACES would be great, but it doesn't quite fit the "Euro" designation IMO, being set firmly in Blighty.

Me too, for years and years. I’ve loved it since I first saw it on USA Network’s Saturday Nightmares lineup in the 80s, and it’s been a favorite film of mine ever since. Not seen on legitimate home video for >35 years!

There are bootleg DVDs of it, using blurry VHS transfers, and a year ago I got one—sourced from the Italian VHS— that contains scenes not included on the American releases. I hope Severin’s print is the complete cut. Even if it isn’t, I’m over the moon for this release and will have no issue paying for the full set just for Dark Places.

Well it certainly would not be very nice of them to use the artwork for it and then not include it!

But it was filmed in Uk, right?

I think I understand what Hammerlover means. I’m in the UK and if we say Eurohorror, we don’t include our own films in that even though we are part of Europe. It’s a concept we still struggle with.

I personally don’t care how Severin uses the terminology as long as we get rarities like this!

Yes. All the locations—for those of you into that sort of thing!—are detailed here:

If it's a UK film, then I think it fits the bill. The UK is no more or less Euro than Italy, Germany, etc.

Yes, but when I think of "Euro," I tend to think of the continent and not so much the British Isles.

That's an alternate title for THE VIRGIN OF NUREMBERG.

I didn't know that. Well, lets hope it makes the set, and if I was a betting man, I would think there is a decent chance.

If this set does, in fact, include THE VIRGIN OF NUREMBERG, THEATRE OF DEATH (filmed in the UK but set in France), and DARK PLACES, I will be a very happy man indeed!

Maybe some of the German Krimi (crime) films will be included, such as THE DEVIL'S DAFFODIL. After all, the first box set had a Krimi, SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE DEADLY NECKLACE.

I'd expect to see UNCLE WAS A VAMPIRE, DARK PLACES, and THE VIRGIN OF NUREMBERG. Maybe THEATRE OF DEATH, and maybe a German Krimi or two.

Yes! It's high time the krimis got some love outside of Germany. They had a strong influence on Italian gialli and many of them have style to burn, along with quirky and catchy music scores.

This is exciting, I didn't think they'd make another. I'm really hoping they can include Dracula and Son. It's the only Christopher Lee Dracula movie that I haven't been and would like to check it out.
