Default Canceled TV Shows Need Final Episode to Finish Up Story

I don't like it when I get into a show, and then they cancel it and leave the story with a cliff hanger. Shows like Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles or 'V' for example.

I think the least the networks could do is have one more episode, mini-series, or movie to tie everything up and have some kind of ending to the series like they did with Farscape and Firefly.

I am NOT buying anymore shows on blu-ray that end like that. What's the point? That's like buying half a book without an ending.

Does anyone know of other shows on blu-ray that have been canceled with the show ending with a cliff hanger? Thanks.

I know what you mean, i hate when i get into a show and it runs a season or two and leave it open for next season and it gets canceled.

Just like what happen with Dark Angel. They left that open for something big and then it was canceled. Still kinda mad about that and it was 9 years ago.

Is why I always hope a new show I get into will go at least 3 seasons, unless it's the kind of show to have 20-30 episodes a season, then it's okay if it only goes 3-4 seasons. Vampire Diaries for example looks like it could go 5-6 seasons and I hope it does, just not sure where they will take it after season 3. Reaper and Veronica Mars both ended too quickly, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.

The producers have nothing to do with this. The networks are funding the shows. Most producers don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund a wrap-up for your series.

I agree with Terminator, Invasion, V, Surface and Flashforward but the biggest one for me would be Jericho. The only one I bought on Blu-ray was Terminator because I got each season for like $15.

I kept watching FlashForward in hopes that it would eventually live up to at least half of its potential, but it never happened... when the first season ended I had no intention of watching the second, anyway, so I didn't mind it being cancelled.

V was even worse. While FlashForward was mediocre in just about every way (except for the horrible performance by the lead actor, who may have been portraying the most unintentionally annoying main character ever), V never interested me much at all. I stuck through it through the first season to see where it would go, and after the S1 finale decided not to bother with the second season.

Basically, I'm a bit surprised that so many people care about either show, especially V (unless it got significantly better in its sophomore season, which is entirely possible).

Also, Ugly Betty. They were talking about doing a movie to finish it up correctly but I'm not sure if they're still considering it

The first episode of Flash Forward was good. The ending was so creepy. But as the show went on I lost interest.

I know it says list shows on blu-ray, but I am still mad that ABC Family cancelled The Nine Lives Of Chloe King after it ended on a cliffhanger. Yet they renewed The Lying Game which got just as terrible ratings.

Also, Tru Calling. The show ended with a Christmas episode.

It'd be cool if they could create a contract for a show to be current season + 1 episode. If there is a renewal, the bonus episode doesn't get made (it gets attached to the next season). If there is no renewal - the episode is produced on the network dime (and they can show it if they want to).

I never got into FlashForward. I tried with V, hard. I love Elizabeth Mitchell, and I love Jane Badler (from the original) but they wasted their second chance (while wasting Jane Badler). My biggest disappointment about V not returning is that they'll probably never approach that property again. I'd love to see a continuation of the original.

Well I liked V. But anything sci fi, especially with aliens and space ships gets an automatic +1 for me. Plus, I was a huge fan of the original V.
