I Just had to laugh.. - Blu-ray Forum

I decided to go to a HD-DUD web forum purely to see what they say in there about there format cause ive only ever heard it from a Blu perspective... and well the 1st post i read was someone saying they were going nuetral because of transformers and wanting to get a hd-dud player this was the first response and was enough for me...

Actually, I don't have anything against somebody supporting both formats as these are individual preferences and people should be free to choose what they want. But I find it amazing that one movie would be enough for somebody to spend that kind of money unless there were quite a few exclusive films that the person wanted to watch. And that would go for anybody on either side of the fence.

Maybe it is just me, but most of the films that people are excited about on both sides don't interest me. I'll probably never own FF4, Spiderman or Transformers (when it is on Blu) but I probably would rent them if I was able to.

You're right, I was. I should probably be going to sleep now.

He must mean the movie in theaters now which hasn't been announced on any format. Hell hd dvd might be dead before that one gets released.

no offense to the OP but are these topics needed? if your going to post this sort of stuff please put it in off topic.

im blu as the next cat but can't we talk about blu ray movies instead of moaning about what people are saying on forums that have nothing to do with blu ray.

I like how some people in these threads are always complaining about it being off topic or so on, I am sure after reading the 18 millions threads on transformers and Paramount I enjoy reading and responding to off the wall stuff and topics such as these. Its actually interesting enough to read and in the correct category.

Iron Man will be too, in Japan. Sony has the distribution rights for it, so I would expect an AVC encode with PCM audio. In other words, better than the Paramount version

no, what is funny is that they had to go with two movies that have not hit the theatres yet, and who's distribution rights elsewhere will mean they will most likely not be exclusive
