Do you actually laugh

When using laughing smileys or typing lol?

Just thought it would be an interesting topic.
When I use this I don't actually roll on the floor and laugh hysterically but I can laugh very silently or laugh in my head, don't want people to think that I'm a weirdo lol.
I've come across this a couple of times, "my coworkers are probably wondering what I'm laughing at" or something like that.

But there was one time where I was laughing hysterically, I mean really laughing out loud!
That was the favourite Opips2 quote thread, my gf and a friend was wondering what the hell was going on with me.
They just smiled at me, because they knew I was really tired and for some reason that can really cause you to laugh at nothing, anybody else experience that?

people have told me I hardly ever actually laugh in real life, I usually smile and say "that's funny".

once in while I actually laugh, like open my mouth and go "HAH. HA. hA."

I personally hate IMisms and most internet speak, and "lol" is the main culprit for me. I never use that term. That's probably the grammar Nazi in me shining through.

If something is funny to me, I'll simply type "ha" or several of those depending on how funny it is. If it's really funny, those turn into "HA"s (capital letters).

Oh man, I'm with you on the grammar stuff and hating internet talk and the dumbing down of society, but I can't stand "ha ha ha".

One "ha" seems to me to imply more of a fake "ha ha", like "yeah I really don't think it's funny but I'll say 'ha' just to humor you."

I hate LOL, FYI, AFAIK, YMMV, BFF, and every other acronym the internet has given us. I may've used some once or twice, but I tend to avoid them.

For laughing, I'll use haha, or Haha if it's starting a sentence. One ha doesn't seem like enough, and 3 Ha's seems as fake as LOL.

I rarely laugh out loud in real life, but there are times I can't stop laughing at something. In those cases, it's still sort of a quiet sound, to myself. I don't know if it's because I grew up being shy, or if it's just that people who laugh loudly just have no control over themselves.

I find it interesting that some of you may look down upon people just having fun, not being afraid to let go.
There are times where I can't stop laughing, but that is when I'm with friends and it's rare when I do that, but I do cherish those moments

That thread was classic, I laughed hysterically a few times in that one. Also the thread about the delivery guy dropping a deuce in the guys bathroom had me actually tearing up and giggling like a schoolgirl.

Usually if I post a "laughing smiley," it means I laughed in some regard...last year there was some picture on here (I don't remember the exact picture but I think it was in one of those "funny pictures" OT threads) that had me laughing so hard I was crying and everyone in my office gave me the most confused looks I have ever seen...of course I couldn't reveal the source
