It'll take up less space at retailers than those chunky boxes that you see on endcaps at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.

But, yeah, beyond that... there doesn't seem to be any value here. And I find it hard to believe that anyone who would be interested in those films hasn't already captured them on any of the hundreds of PD collections that have been released in the past decade or so.

These public-domain Blu collections always remind me of this:

It's not really much of a value to get a dozen or more movies in a collection if they're going to be of such shite quality (and not even in real HD).

If this was like 5.99 or something I wouldn't even complain, but the fact that they're trying to charge $25 for this is just ridiculous. As soon as the format was announced I figured we'd get a ton of stuff like this on it, but thankfully that hasn't been the case.

...to mislead less savvy consumers into thinking they're getting something more than they really are.

The DVD versions will look better than this mish mash of PD films. MGMs I Bury the Living and Image Devil Girl From Mars are the best transfers Ive seen on them. For some people who will get this, good for them..but ID rather hold on to the DVDs with the best PQ not some 3rd string company using PD transfers..It might as well be Alpha Video doing blu ray
