Default Warner "sharing" limited HD DVD perameters with BD capabilities?

MarekM stated on the previous thread: "I hope they will add PCM track hmm, I think HD DVD version have DD+ right ? "Anyone knows if they have 1.5mbit track on T3, HD DVD.... One can dream about PCM 24bit/48kHz hmm".

This brings up a good point and a very good question. Don't get me wrong. T-3 in HD is going to be awesome! But! If this is released in DD 5.1 only, how does that sit with us Blu-ray owners. Is this the best we will receive from nuetral studios? Dummied down version of an inferior technology? What are your thoughts Hobson?

Warner has been giving us uncompressed audio lately so I'll bet they give us a lossless track on this one too. If they don't, then I won't buy it.

I won't buy any Warner movies if they don't at least have DTS-MA or TrueHD. You are just selling Blu-Ray short. Send a message to Warner Bros you can do this to HD-DVD but not to Blu-Ray. Right Guys.

I don't think Warner has ever given a BD superior audio to the HD-DVD version. Even when 300 on BD got a PCM track the HD-DVD got a Dolby TrueHD track. There have been a few early titles that got lossless tracks on HD-DVD while the BD got regular old Dolby 640 kbps tracks(Superman Returns discounting the special Panasonic BD version is an example).

It's clear that Warner doesn't want to make the HD-DVD version look inferior in comparison. This is why many here bemoan the fact that Warner continues to use shoddy HD-DVD encodes for their Blu-ray releases. It's why many of Warner's movies will look and sound better when they finally stop making HD-DVDs.

I'm afraid doing that would cause Warner to go HD exclusive. We can't afford that.
