Default Is Blu-ray using TDK's Durabis coating?

Are they using Durabis for movies, or a different kind of coating?

Do the movies that are out now, have Durabis?

All current BDs are using a different kind of coating. I've read that it's quite good though.

Are you sure? Where did you read that? Everything I've read suggests that Durabis is optional on Blu-ray discs. Which studios have specifically said they'd use Durabis? To my knowledge only it's creator, TDK, will definitely use Durabis on their recordable BDs.

I can't remember where I read it. But I remember reading something about how TDK is going to be the main supplier of discs to Sony and a few other studios for the DL discs and so the DL discs will mostly have durabis. As well as TDK's own discs.

Well I don't have any of the current BD discs much less I'm not crazy enough to test out their durability but if Durabis is better than what's available now then I hope it does get used by as many BD distributors as possible. Nothing better than protecting our investment. I take great care of my DVDs and CDs but the occasional scratch does happen. CDs in particular seem prone to them. Wish they had a protective coating as well.

Thats what all my customers say when I tell them about Blu-Rays coating there all like why couldn't they have done this sooner. But they will all be very scratch resistant there was a thread about that in one of the sections of this forum do a search and you should find it.
