I own both and even over the spanse of (**Yawn**) 5 discs Blade Runner still pales in comparison to Dark City. I really think Dark City has set a new Sci-Fi standard in terms of production and replay value. Just an amazing, amazing Blu-Ray, just wish it would have become a series becasue there is still so much to tell.

Dark City gets my vote, if for nothing more than originality. The first time I saw the movie I was blown away by the story and all the little turns and surprises along the way. The new DC edition is even better because it doesn't telegraph any information. I have tried and tried to like Blade Runner, but just can't quite do it. Although I must admit the DC version that just came out is the best I've seen yet.

Yeah, maybe I just didn't "get" DC, because the first time I saw it, it was just meh. I would not even think it is on the radar compared to BR.

Please. Blade Runner wins easily. It's a superior film and the extras are even more plentiful than Dark City(which is loaded itself). Plus no DNR or EE on the transfer.
There's one area where Dark City wins. It has DTS HD-MA 7.1 audio for both cuts of the film. Blade Runner only offers lossless on the Final Cut. |

I really like Dark City. My copy is on the way. But there is no way I would put this up against Blade Runner. |

Dark City is awesome, but I gotta give the nod to Blade Runner here.

Comparing DC to BR seems about as indignant as comparing Transformers to DC.

Blade Runner, no doubt. Haste, what is up there Kid? Fall asleep during Blade Runner and I think you said else where that Clockwork Orange is the worst movie you own. Questionable.
