Thx man, Rblu too.. Great list here, Ill never run out of CG stuff ( transformers irobot, star trek etc ) or pixar films to buy, But when it comes down to picking Very good PQ with just a movie with no PQ I cant think of alot for some reason.. So i heard Godfather is one of the best blu transfers to date, but is heavy on the grain..as is district 9 .. But a movie like star trek, sin city , 5th element are just so sharp and crisp (" blow" is actually pretty good as well ) .. So Is this all the producers decision?? Just wondering why on new movies they are not all as crisp and sharp of an image as something like kill bill or i robot.. ? Almost forgot to mention Blade Runner.. I dont own it, but it got the highest rating possible almost everywhere I look |

As far as PQ goes, The International will blow you away.
And Sin City is worth every penny of it's price. But for those movies stubborn to go down in price, I suggest using Best Buy reward zone certificates toward them, because it gives you an excuse to get it for a cheaper price, whereas most others will go down sooner or later. |

Just a note.. Why cant other 10 year old movie look as good as I robot, ( not even the CG stuff ) So crisp, vivid, colorful, not at all saturated, and such great detail contrast

For clarity, I love films from the late 60s and 70s. They just seem to be clearer, in focus, and less grain. They really seem to jump of the screen. It seems to me, nowadays action movies must be out of focus, at least the background, as much as possible. Also action must be zoomed in as tight as possible and camera must jump around, so you can't really see what is going on. Ex. opening fight scene in QoS. Just my opinion, and I'm sure there are others that can provide examples of 60s and 70s movie that look like crap too. When I watch something like Dirty Harry 1,2 or 3 they really are sharp. |

Anyway to tell between the crap edition that was released around the launch of BLU-ray and the remastered edition? Does the re-mastered edition say "Remastered" on it? I own this movie but haven't opened yet, hell I still have the SUPERBIT version on DVD. I'm sure this has probably been posted before but don't feel like searching
