A year after his brother Tom's death, Jack (Mark Duplass) is still struggling emotionally. When he makes a scene at a memorial party, Tom's best friend Iris (Emily Blunt) offers up her family cabin on an island in the Pacific Northwest so Jack can seek catharsis in solitude. Once there, however, he runs into Iris' sister Hannah (Rosemarie Dewitt) who is reeling from the abrupt end of a seven-year relationship and finds solace in Tom's unexpected presence. A blurry evening of drinking concludes with an awkward sexual incident, made worse by Iris' sudden presence at the cabin the next morning. A twisted tale of ever-complicated relationships is set in motion with raw, hilarious and emotional performances from the all-star cast.

Easily one of my most-anticipated movies of the summer. It seems wonderful and I won't be surprised if it's one of my favorites this year. The cast is great and I loved Shelton's Humpday. Reviews are terrific so far too. My fingers are crossed that this becomes a sleeper. I badly want it to open here. It could be a mini art-house hit. There seems to be a good amount of buzz surrounding it.

Your sister's sister? Which would make her your sister as well and then they take of sexual relations between the two? Hmm, interesting. Incest theme in Hollywood, this is new.

Same here. It added 34 this weekend for a total of 47. Really hope it manages to hold up well and keep expanding.

We do have a local cinema that kind of screens movies like this and other 'old' movies as its a bit of an electic sort of cinema rather than mainstream so it may show it sometime in the future there i guess if the main cinema chains don't screen this.

I doubt any of the theaters around here will ever get it. I'll likely blind buy it on Blu-ray though.

Yeah, if it never opens here I'm sure I'll blind buy it too. The closest art theater for me is 3 hours away.

This is a wonderful low-key drama. The performances are terrific from the three leads, but I do feel the need to single out Rosemarie DeWitt. I adored her in this. She really deserves an Oscar nomination but sadly I'm sure she'll be overlooked like she was for Rachel Getting Married.

Definitely recommended!

I ended up blind buying this like I said I probably would. It'll probably be a little while until I watch it though since I have a lot of movies to watch right now.

I blind-bought this as well, just for the simple fact that I really like Emily Blunt
