Default Why aren't Adam Sandler's two best movies on Blu-ray yet?

Why aren't Adam Sandler's two best movies on Blu-ray yet?

These movies i'm referring to are of course Punch-Drunk Love and Spanglish. Two of the most wonderful movies ever made actually.

I have been hounding Criterion on Twitter about this... They announced in 2012 that PDL was coming that year and still nothing.

The kind of Adam Sandler questions that can keep a man up at night.

There needs to be a PTA box set already with hard 8 included on blu. He's acclaimed enough and has enough films to justify a set. The UK will probably get one and we wont.

Because Undercover Brother isn't out on Blu yet.

Also, I vote The Waterboy and Happy Gilmore, but I do really like Spanglish...but not because of Adam

Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer? Both available.

Did you mean worst film, and most 'meh' film?

Can we really call Punch-Drunk Love (which is one of my favorites of all time) an Adam Sandler movie? I'd deem it more a Paul Thomas Anderson movie with Adam Sandler in it than an Adam Sandler movie. Also, Billy Madison eats Spanglish (which I'm also not sure can be characterized as an Adam Sandler movie)'s lunch.

Do you seriously think PDL is Sandler's worst movie?

It's definitely not for everyone. I think it's his best but if you're going in expecting the average Sandler comedy you'll be thrown off. There's a reason it flopped in the box office. It's too artsy for most Sandler fans.

PDL is Sandler's best film because, for once, he isn't acting like a complete idiot.

Punch-Drunk Love is definitely my favourite Sandler film, and I'm pretty certain that it has almost nothing to do with Sandler and the fact that Anderson is directing.
Second favourite is The Wedding Singer, the rest is... just plain bad. I really do think Sandler is a hack of the worst sort.

I love Spanglish. I though Adam Sandler, Téa Leoni and Paz Vega, were brilliant in that.

The Wedding Singer is a favourite, Happy Gilmore too.

I think he's certainly capable of being funny, he just hasn't been trying for a long, long time.
