Default Can 2012 be saved for Horror fans?

We have Paranormal Activity 4 and Sinister out and some alright straight-to-dvd releases but do you guys think the final batch of horror flicks save 2012 for us?

Silent Hill 3D: Revelation (oct 26th)
Smiley (oct 11th)
The Collection (nov 30th)
Silent Night, Deadly Night
Amittyville Horror: Lost Tapes (Dec)

Maybe the Silent Night Deadly Night remake. Overall 2012 has been a poor year for horror imo...

The Cabin In The Woods is the only good "horror" film. Everything else is crap and poison at the box office.

Do Silent Night, Deadly Night and Amityville Horror even have a trailer or release date?

Yeah Cabin wins 2012 for best horror movie. Though i am looking forward to Silent Hill and i thought Woman In Black was really good.

Not much looks on track to be better IMO. I am looking forward to the Collection, but I doubt it will be better then Cabin.

Yea its been pretty thin this year for horror although I thought The Cabin in the Woods & The Woman in Black were both very good. Has anyone seen The Apparition? If so is it any good? The last great year for horror was 2009. That year was loaded! Got Em!!

That's about as likely as me marrying Kate Beckinsale someday...

I'm sure some people count them, but I'd just call them action movies.

Think most people stopped counting them, after four.

I've liked this year so far ... more than last year, horror-wise.

We got out of this year with one good horror film: Cabin in the Woods. MAYBE two if you could Prometheus as a type of sci-fi horror hybrid. Even if the rest is or turns out to be crap, this is still progress.

The Cabin in the Woods is the only solid horror film I've seen that came out this year. I think Sinister and Silent Hill might be the only other contenders.
