Default Review for Twister UK version?

I know there is the US version Blu-ray that has been reviewed but I've seen other movies that have versions with multiple reviews (like if the movie came out first in the UK and then was re-reviewed for the US version or a better version of the movie was released). I just ordered the UK version but I know that reviews for the UK version are practically non-existant. This thread has some reviews and from what I can tell, the transfer in the UK version is superior to the US version audio and video wise. I believe it is definitely worth making a review for, especially for people who don't even know about it and people willing to double-dip on it, like myself. It also offers another opportunity for Blu-ray.com to get some more sales through the Amazon purchase link. I already contributed. Just FYI, in USD, my purchase today cost me $25.70 shipped via Royal Air Mail.

The covers are also different looking for any collectors or anyone interested. The UK cover is the same as the older covers seen on the DVD and VHS versions in the US

Just for reference to any of those interested, I posted a relatively in-depth review comparing the two versions of Twister here. I posted my thoughts along with pictures. If anyone would like the full quality, non-compressed pictures, please let me know.

Bump to say thanks again to the OP for the thread. My copy arrived today (which I ordered due to the strong reviews from the noted thread), and just finished it up. Very pleased with the disc, and proud to add this import to my collection. Great blu to hit the 100 mark with!!

Thanks for that. I hope it's as good as you say it is.

I'll have my edition after New Year's, and post my review then, as I also have the US edition, as part of the Triple pack.

This doesn't sound too great either.

Well, I have watched the UK edition of Twister today, and would give the PQ another half a point, but not more.
There is better detail, and therefore added clarity, but the US and UK releases are not that different, and I made various side by side comparisons.

The SQ was great, and the bass is definitely punchier, and tighter, and the soundtrack is more refined overall. Also, the high end is clearly more pronounced, sometimes to the degree that even hurts the ears.

All in all, it's clearly better than the US edition, but not by a long shot.

To me:

US:

PQ: 3.25/5
AQ: 4.5/5

UK:

PQ: 3.75/5
SQ: 5-/5

I've been looking at the bitrates for this in this thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=179724

The US version's Dolby TrueHD 5.1 16-Bit track is 1994Kbps, while the UK version's DTS-HD MA 5.1 24-Bit track is 5156Kbps.

I'd expect the latter to be at around 3000Kbps if it were a 24/48 version of the former; which makes me wonder whether this may be a 96KHz track?

No 96KHz on this disc, just a very healthy 48KHz
