Default Ratatouille will be a big seller

Looking at the Amazon sales rankings, the Ratatouille DVD has been sitting at number one for a while. Anyone think that this movie will be a bigger seller than Transformers? I would love to see the DVD of this blow Transfomers out of the water. Look Jungle Book is still sitting in the top 5 too. We all know that Disney sells big. I am thinking that maybe the Blu-ray of Ratatouille might sell more than Transformers HD DVD. That would be great, but the BD is currently only in the top 50, but we all know that HD DVD always looks like it is selling better an Amazon anyway. I hope Best buy does another sale like they did for Meet the Robinsons. $22.99 was a steal!

I would expect Ratatouille on Blu-ray to sell about the same or more copies than the 115,000 Transformers sold on HD-DVD in week 1.

It's going to sell very well......

It's the best placed animated movie on IMDB:

Ratatouille #84

The Incredibles # 128

Toy story # 184

Shrek # 236

Monsters Inc.

Cars

Ice Age

I think that Ratatouille will sell well on blu-ray; I have my copy already reserved, but I do not believe that it has the appeal to rival Transformers. But I do believe that the Disney movies that week combined will outsell Transformers.

I'm not sure this title has the "PS3 crowd appeal", but I still think it will sell close to Transformers numbers. Around 100,000.

I would be very surprised if Ratatouille sells 115k or more. This title will probably do around 75k......this is not a title that targets the majority of Bluray owners. 300 sold a ton for a reason....it wasn't rated G and it was action packed which plays right into highdef media.

That's why I think HD fans are making too much of a deal about Shrek 3. It's not going be a huge seller like Transformers.

I'm thinking that it will beat out TF first week sales. It might be a kid movie but it's a very good kid movie.

Ratatouille is excellent. It did reasonably well in the US, but worldwide, people went NUTS about it, bringing it to be the 3rd all time best Pixar right behind The Incredibles and Nemo.
It will do very strong in ths US, no doubt, but worldwide, it will literally crush TF.

Talking about Nemo and The Incredibles, those will be format killers in '08, among others...
