1st time coming across such site & looks like some interesting Blu-ray movies such as Whale God, Konga TNT, etc.
Wondering if anyone purchased from them & how are these collections usually compared to Arrow or Severin.

thanks again

Pretty good overall. I have a few of their releases and didn't have any issues really with compression or encoding and they are starting to release bigger titles. Hope that continues.

Many of the titles are going to be limited to the source material. Don't expect a SOV title to look HD. Some titles may not even be worth buying the Blu-ray over the DVD. A title like The iDol, while a great movie, was shot digitally at various resolutions so it looks pretty rough on Blu-ray. The Whale God did not receive a proper restoration from Kadokawa, no clean up on the print, so it can look a bit dirty at times, but it's mainly passable.
Also keep in mind, most of their releases are going to be BD-R. Their bigger Japanese titles will usually be pressed discs, but that's about it.

Their encoding can leave a little more to desire, but it's usually not a problem with titles that already had a disc release elsewhere.

SRS is having a liquidation sale

FROM THEIR EMAIL: We are placing shipment with warehouse today, these start shipping next week. Don't wait, we will be winding this down next week...

Ugh... our warehouse wants us to do a major liquidation here, so our loss is your gain. We have a MEGA sale going on right now, nearly 100 titles, 95% of them $5 or less. Lowest prices ever on many titles, some titles have never even been discounted. This will be up for a week or two, so grab them while you can - we don't want these to end up in a landfill.

Thanks for posting about the sale.

Ordered 4 DVDs at $4.95 each (had more in the cart but ended up ordering some other movies from somewhere else and had to cut back):

I watched Daddy last night and oof. Uncle fester SA movie with really gross sounds during the act and yet incredibly boring. So far my experience with their retro line, while looking cool, has been nothing but real bad movies even for SOV standards. Day of the Reaper, City of the Vampires, Zombie Jamboree, Midnight 2...it's interesting to see these movies get released I'll say. Buyer beware. You have to have a taste for garbage to get anything out of these.

Just wanted to draw eyes to a preorder at SRS cinema that I would really like to get a pressed release. Tim Ritter's Truth or Dare 5 film series is getting a brand new boxset. Will be pressed if it can get 200 preorders by October first. I did my part!

Very interesting as I have had at least the original Truth or Dare film on my wishlist. Below is the link to the SRS Cinema website pre-order listing page:

https://srscinemastore.com/collectio...l-plus-sequels

There are two other September pre-order titles: Cheater Cheater and Don't Make a Sound.

Would buy if they end up hitting the pressed threshold. I'm done buying BD-R discs

I'm hopeful, I mean, I got in on that last Tim Ritter boxset they put out and that managed to get to the pressing threshold.

Syrena, wanted to ask if there has been an update in a subsequent newsletter regarding pressed discs or not. A comparison trailer has been posted on their Facebook page as well as on the SRS Cinema website listing page for the Truth or Dare set.

Yeah, I posted it in my Truth or Dare thread, but I forgot to update here. It hit the full replication goal, thankfully.

Has anyone here got SRS Cinema's Blu-ray release of Lust for Blood: The Jay Lind Collection? Found out about it first from SRS's Facebook page a couple of weeks ago.
