I like Ron Perlman but I didn't feel like he was the right actor for this part.

[Show spoiler]There is one entire fight scene in a truck which used a double the entire time.

Kind of how I felt about Harrison Ford in The Dial of Destiny. He is just a little too old and not convincing enough as the action guy.

[Show spoiler]This is also the fourth film I've seen this year where one of the characters doesn't speak for nearly the entire film and then utters an unnecessary line of dialog at the very end. Sisu, Fool's Paradise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and The Baker.

There was a red band trailer for The Retirement Plan with Perlman and Nicolas Cage that looks good. It seems like there have been a lot of red band trailers this year.

I thought this movie would take more advantage of the main character's profession as a baker, but it was pretty much all incidental, like the fight that takes place in the back of truck. The kid was not likable at all. Really self-entitled and did some inexplicable stuff. I mean,

[Show spoiler]the fact that she took the drugs out of the bag was basically the reason her dad got killed.

I actually wanted too see more of the baking stuff beyond the few snippets shown at the beginning. Didn't live up to its potential.

I was interested mainly because I'm a huge Harvey Keitel fan, but not enough to see it in a theater. I'll watch it at home, though.

I was surprised one local Regal of mine actually got this for one week. I didn't go.

I'll watch it once later.
