Would would someone buy and SACD or dvd-audio, when u can download FLAC?

Are you kidding?

FLAC is compressed CD-quality audio. SACD and DVD-A, when properly mastered, are of much higher quality.

BTW, watch for this same argument to come out soon from the HD DVD camp. Who needs 50GB 1080p BDs when you can download 720p overcompressed video from XBox Live?

Just thought i would say this, used amazon to download an album, the trade union new album, and got 320VBR. **** itunes

FLAC is a rip from the original CD, 44khz/16bit

SACD and DVDAudio are 192khz/24bit

The difference is...major to say the least

I still buy DVD-A on-line and it sounds amazing.... screw any download.

CD is 2 channel 44.1kHz/16bit LPCM
DVD-Audio is 2 channel 192kHz/24-bit LPCM and 5.1 channel 96kHz/24-bit LPCM
SACD is 6 channel 2.8MHz DSD
