Default The Company on BD

I was walking through BB the other day and saw The Company miniseries (from TNT I believe) on BD. I remember seeing one or two episodes on TV in HD and they were stellar in terms of PQ and also entertainment. I havent seen anyone really talk about it here. Has anyone purchased it on BD? How is the quality? Also how is the miniseries as a whole...is it worth purchasing?

I watched the entire series on TV in HD and really enjoyed it. Thinking about picking it up myself on Blu-Ray.

There are a few posts in the "insiders" thread about it also. I have it but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Same here. I think it was a great show and plan on getting it when I see it at my local BB. What was their price at BB?

Sweet. Thanks. I saw it at Amazon for $38 but I don't really order from them much. That means Target sells it also for $38 since it's really Amazon you are buying from. Can you say price match from BB.

I got this for $39.99 at frys. haven't watched it yet as the baby changed those plans. I missed the last episode. I liked it more than the good shepard which was still good.

Both PQ and SQ are amazing, especially for something that was on TV. But I only made it about half way through before it bored me to death. It was very slow and boring in my opinion. Not worth a buy, but maybe a NetFlix'ing.

Thumbs up

I netflixed this the day it came out and it is an amazingly well put together film that I think could really only work as a mini-series. The picture is incredible and I found the story captivating. Keep in mind that I have a tendency to enjoy more dramatic and intelligent fare than what has become the standard Hollywood fare these days (ahem... Spider-Man 3...).

I Netflix'd them and have made it through both parts of the first disc. My wife was bored with the first part on disc 1 but I thought it was very entertaining. I absolutely hated the Good Shepard and thought this was much more interesting. The PQ is definitely great and this is what an espionage thriller should be like. The GS was just too bizarre at times and just seemed to meander along with no real purpose. Just don't expect an action movie as this is more about the subtle games both sides played during the Cold War.
