A bit overdue, isn't it?
It's region free anyway, so importing seems the way to go for the time being. I've seen it dirt cheap as well.

Very overdue! I think i may have to import it. I just hope that when they do release the uk version its not a better video and audio codec spec then the US version. I just ordered the hunt for the red october from america, I hope it doesn't take too long too arrive

I thought their was a problem with Amazon and Warner Bros with their titles if you want to pre order this.

I don't believe that we're getting the Ultimate Cut, either.

The artwork on Amazon and the BBFC classified extras, point to the theatrical cut only.

The upside of this, if true, is that I don't have to buy the overpriced US set with all the useless tat, if I want the theatrical cut.
I can buy the cheaper single disc release of the Ultimate Cut and then the UK theatrical disc, once it ends up in an inevitable Amazon or HMV offer.

OK I've never seen this movie and would really like to. Which version is recommended? I would prefer the most 'complete' version although i understand that all versions vary quite a bit especially in terms of length. It seems the above release is about two and a half hours but is there another release almost an hour longer? It's a bit confusing.

True but Im not sure I even want the Theatrical cut after getting used to the Final cut. Actually I might not have even seen the Theatrical cut as Im pretty sure I saw the Directors cut first.

Im going to wait for reviews of this new Ultimate cut. And that set might get reduced quite a bit at some point I would have thought.

Final cut is the longest one - the new Ultimate cut is actually a bit shorter. Final cut is easy to find. Might be better off waiting though to see what this new Ultimate cut is actually like.

Canadian release of the single disc Ultimate Cut, £12.47 at Amazon.ca, using the cheapest shipping option and that's DHL delivery.

Last few Canadian catalogue Warner titles I've received, haven't had bilingual covers, either.

If anyone wants a copy of the Final Cut, I'm willing to let my US copy go for £6 delivered.

I have the US 'Final Cut'...thought it was a pretty terrible movie tbh. Can't see any editing fixing this. Least they can do is add a lossless audio track.

So its a 'pretty terrible movie' but you want them to add a lossless audio track? Why?

...for the benefit of those people who may like the film and are thinking of buying it.

I asked Warners recently which cut it was and what the extras were. After a few days, and a couple of we'll get back to you 's, they send me this.

Hi Dean,

Here is the information:

Commentary Oliver Stone and Robin Lane Fox

Resurrecting Alexander

Perfect is The Enemy of Good

The Death of Alexander

Vangelis Scores Alexander

Trailer

Teaser Trailer

So nothing about which version, guessing the theatrical. Obvious missing extras from the two disc American release.

It's the theatrical cut, as everything there mirrors the disc in the 2 disc US set.

Anyone noticed that the UK is getting shafted again?!

Theres an Italian one out in June - two discs with theatrical and ultimate cuts and at a good price too. Seems like the one to get to me!
