Comments on News Column

I assume many of you haveseen some of the recent hateful comments left on the Blu-Ray news columns (especially the new one about Warner exclusivity).

First off I'd like to say thank you for the swift ban of these members, however, these messages should not be left. They are not only off-topic comments, but hateful and insulting to SOME OF OUR OWN MEMBERS.

These messages should be removed and the users banned(which was done).

The same goes for forum posts, it's not enough just to ban the user and leave the message there, because then people will continue to see the post (for whatever infraction it was).

I believe that if amember is banned, the posts he/she made should be deleted automatically. If that's not possible, the mods should go and delete them themselves.

This type of thing hurts the blu-ray.com image. This is a place where people are welcomed, with a mature user base. Leaving comments like the ones on that article destroy that image and may stop people from coming to this site which is the opposite of what we want.
