Post Leave subwoofer in corner or move it to 1/5 of the front wall?

Basically , my room is 4.3m x 4.6m and i sit about 3.2meters away from front stage and subwoofer. Room is wide opened with a little corner on the left side of the room and the right side is all closed.

Subwoofer is on the left side on the room in the corner. Should i move it to 1/5 of the front wall between the left front speaker and TV or leave it in the corner?

Sub is only 8'' , but i like the bass response it gives me in my small room. Should i try it between the speaker and TV ?

It's hard to say because every sub & room is different. Experimentation is the key. Try the sub crawl method. There's good information in the subwoofer section stickies.

There is no absolute best location for a subwoofer. Given that trade places and see what works best for your room.

Yes, and the only way to really know where a sub gives the flattest response is to measure the room as you experiment. Anything else, especially relying on playing music, is just guessing. Room peaks and nulls occur at specific frequencies, but music plays only a few different bass frequencies that depends on the musical key of the piece. You could spend an hour playing many types of music, and hope that your ears are accurate enough to know what sounds right. Versus measuring that takes only ten seconds per measurement.

My system is only used for movie playback (blurays). Due to lack of subwoofer wire length , i can only place it in front of the room. The loudest and smoothest bass response was given when the sub was placed in the front left corner (on the side where the room is opened) . When i placed it between the front left speaker and the tv unit , the bass output was significantly reduced and the bass was boomy so my final decision is to leave the sub in the front left corner.

In my room, I have a sub in each corner.
However, I had to move them about a foot away from the side walls, to keep them from sounding boomy.
