Default Sub cables...

I'm sure there is a sticky about sub cables from Big Daddy somewhere, but I didn't see it. Is there difference in quality or a recommended brand(s) with sub cables and Y-splitters?

Also, if you have two subs, should you try to keep the sub cables the same, or it really doesn't matter?

I've tried different cables. MonoPrice, Monster, Audioquest and some hi end thing I don't remember the name of. They all sounded the same.

For the Y-splitters I run two of these for 4-subs.

For the sub cables I run these.

Thanks, I did miss that one.

So, is BD suggesting using a splitter to connect two subs to the back of the receiver? I'm getting dual subs this week (first time with duals) and was planning on hooking them both up seperately to the back of the AVR since it has two LFE inputs. Both subs will be at the front of the room on opposite sides of the TV. Would you suggest a certain way of cabling dual subs?

I'd run both outputs with a single cable to each sub, n just split 'em at the subs using a y-connector on each.

If the receiver has 2 LFE outputs then hook the subs up using both of them. If you add more subs down the road then you will need a splitter (Y-adapter)

I have and use the SVS sub cable, and also Mediabridge. Also have used the moniprice ones, but Mediabridge seem nicer for about the same price if you account for shipping. The SVS cable came with my sub, so I use it and it is indeed nice, but I would never actually purchase it for the price.
