Jacob's Ladder Remake Planned - Blu-ray Forum

The original film starred Tim Robbins as a Vietnam veteran living in New York City named Jacob Singer. Haunted by his past, Singer begins a descent into madness that threatens to blend reality and delusion with the threat of a Dante-inspired damnation.

The new take on the property is said to reexamine the themes of the original against a contemporary backdrop. When a Stranger Calls screenwriter Jake Wade Wall is said to have worked on an earlier draft of the new script.

Michael Gaeta, Mickey Liddell, Jennifer Monroe and Alison Rosenzweig are set to produce. No director is currently attached, but check back for details as they become available.

Can't say that I've seen it, but I have seen clips of it. Plus my mom owned this on VHS and the cover for whatever reason weirded me out.

And now you may commence with all the damn you Hollywood and your lack of creativity like in every thread about remakes. it's a must.

This is awful. The original was so effective and disturbing..

They are gonna make the new one with talentless good looking hunky actors and set in in some middle eastern war arent they?
I dont think I can get behind this one.

I saw this at the cinema when I was very young. I thought it was awesome. Totally was into the film and didn't even see the ending coming. I haven't seen it recently so uncertain if the twist would be more obvious (aside that I've already seen it of course).

I am excited about the remake. Remakes doesn't have to be movies that did well. If a movie didn't do well but had a great concept, I think remaking it is a great idea especially with the technology and advances today.

HAHA cant wait to see the CGI fest this will be..Most remakes are crap. There are a few I like but I really hate when they try to re do 80s horror movies such as the Thing that had good creature effects and replace it with crap CGI..Example being The Thing Remake.

This is also being produced by the same people who did the Fright Night remake. So if you like that than I guess you could possibly like this.
