Default Kubrick Collection - Mmm.. Delicious!

Since Amazon is being stupid, I decided to cancel my orders with them and go to Best Buy and pick-up all the Kubrick's there.

2001
The Shining
Clockwork Orange
Eyes Wide Shut

And Full Metal Jacket came in from Amazon.

Damn I love Blu! Besides, since my brother purchased 4 new HD-DUD's today I had to counter his purchase!

2001 was so long and boring.

The Shining was ahead of it's time when it came out

A Clockwork Orange was great.

Full Metal Jacket is more like 2 movies into one,one of the best war movies I ever saw.

Eyes Wide Shut Bizarre, that's what I like about it,one of 1999's best.

Clockwork Orange was not my most favorite movie, then again I have never fully watched it start to finish.

Default Kubrick collection

I picked up my Kubrick movies at my local Best Buy the day they came out. I got all of them except Eyes Wide Shut. It was good, but I didn't like it as much as the other movies. I was in there again today and there were still copies of all 5 movies. At my Best Buy you can't really tell how good or bad something sells because they normally have plenty of copies in the back to restock the shelves.

I got them at BB too. Bought The Shining yesterday since Amazon is broken.

The BB I went to also got in a shipment of The Italian Job, which I thought was odd. Sucks that I ordered it from a 3rd party the night before.

Default The Shining is a Must Have

Normally, I'm not a huge horror movie buyer but decided to try the Blu-ray release of The Shining.

I've seen it a couple of times before on broadcast television and had never seen the DVD version.

What a great release!

Between the HD clarity, the soundtrack, and seeing it for the first time in its unedited glory, it was a completely different movie experience! The Blu-ray version of this movie looks and feels as good as, if not better, than a lot of current studio releases.

If you have not yet seen The Shining in Blu-ray, than you are definately missing out.

Just got 2001 in and plan on watching that tonight.
