'Dragon' will take the weekend, but 'Jump Street' will make a strong fight for the top. But 'Dragon' is gets families and kids, so it's really a no brainer.

Dragon 2 will be HUGE, as there's no other CGI 'toon in the marketplace right now (Rio 2 was two months back, and that Wizard Of Oz one tanked and is already gone and forgotten), audiences loved the first film, and critics are highly praising the sequel as even better. Look for an $80 million opening. Jump Street 2 will also do extremely well, over $30 million easy.

I'm quite excited for both of these. I'll see one on Friday and the other Saturday. I hope they both kill.

I really hope HTTYD2 comes in with insanely high numbers. Anything 90+ would be fantastic.

Dragon will obviously be on top. It has great buzz and is a highly-anticipated sequel to a very well-received first film. Plus the audience for it is huge, as its appeal goes beyond children due to the action film-style premise.

22 Jump Street will be a little behind it, but it will still do incredibly well.

Agreed with the consensus here.

Dragon will handily take the weekend (no over saturation of family/kid flicks this year like 2013) but Jump Street will generate some strong numbers as well.

Has anyone ever had two movies out in the same week and they were 1 and 2 at the box office?
