First Teaser for Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen's This is the End

In case the world does actually end tomorrow, Columbia Pictures has released this teaser clip for Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen's This is the End. The comedy, opening in theaters on June 14, stars Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride and Jonah Hill.

This is the End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Once they discover that they are experiencing the Apocalypse, they must come to terms with why they were left behind. Eventually they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.

I find these guys movies funny and this sounds like a great premise for them.

Interesting to see how this evolved from "Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse" to "This is the End". I hope Emma Watson is just a cameo. Even though I like her, I just want it to stick with the core group.

I'm pretty sure there is an old thread for this. I remember discussing it before, but I am excited to see the trailer. These are the best guys of comedy, and they always make great stuff when they get together!

edit: oh, my God. It is AMAZING. The ribbing on each other is fantastic. Does anyone know if Cera and Segel are actually in it? I'm assuming they die at the actual party? As long we get cameos from them, I'm good.

edit 2: Apparently, there are a ton of cameos (I'm assuming Cera and Segel did film a scene along with many others) and that Rihanna and Emma Watson along with Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, James Franco and Jay Baruchel all get a lead billing.

Yes, everyone in the film is playing themselves. There is a party at James Franco's house and then terrible events take place

He makes them watch Soider-Man 3? Could be worse. It could be at his brother's place and he could make them sit through his entire season of Scrubs.

i hate how this happens where there's a really good movie in the works and all of a sudden these low budget, quickly hashed together films with the same premise appear

at least this has a bunch of good actors i guess but still very lame of hollywood

I hate that Emma Watson is in this, even if its only a cameo. Mainly because I have gotten sick of all the people involved in this movie, especially Franco, but will have to watch it because I love Emma.

The World's End only had its idea ironed out last Summer I believe, they had a short for this back after Superbad was released. Plus besides the idea that both are about a group of friends dealing with the apocalypse, they both tackle the idea completely differently.

Don't get me wrong, I think The World's End will completely blow this out of the water, but as trashy comedy goes, this looks decent (not great, decent).
