does anyone know when Die Hard 3: Die Hard with a Vengeance will be released on blu ray in the uk region b please as i have the others 1,2,4 but not 3

I don't know, but you COULD order from the USA.

The US edition is Fox and region locked. The UK edition is distributed by BVista and there is no release date yet but i would expect it sometime early in the new year.

Really? I thought catalog titles were region free? Or is that for some other studio and not blu-ray in general?

As far as I am aware all FOX titles are region locked.

hey mate you can try ezydvd.com.au for die hard 3 , we share the same region coding so can order it from aus if you want.

iv'e got 2,3,4 but im missing one

its release date is today the 12th but i work in a supermarket and i noticed we had the SD copy of die hard 4.0 for sale so last night i went into target and got die 2, 3 , 4 and rise of the silver surfer on blu ray the funny thing though die hard 4 is the new release and it cost less then the old titles!

both targets here where i live dont have Blu-ray discs as yet.....

as for pricing the best prices i have found are at the rental outlets...VideoEzy and Blockbuster.... No movies priced over $24.95

i just got back from Video Ezy with Black Hawk Down for $19.95

Actually I was dumb enough to buy them all separately because they got better from 4 to 1 to 2. But this one wasn't really worth the $35 Fox charges.

Edit:You crazy Australians talk funny. But that's ok, if I had to live anywhere not in the U.S., I'd pick Australia.

I’ll go to the mat for this one. A terrific action flick. As for the ending, it was retooled after bad reactions to the original one which you can find on the DVD and BD. While I rarely agree with studios’ decisions to go against the director’s wishes, in this case, I think they made the right call. There’s actually a third unfilmed ending too.

Thanks for mentioning these alternate endings. I had no idea! I watched the filmed alternate on YouTube and, hmmmm, I'm mixed on it. If you told me that it would have been the final film in the series, and kinda worked on the scene itself, I could be at peace with that ending.

Now, the third alternate ending (which wasn't filmed) would have been awesome, except that you would have to really work the script to not make it come across as too convenient and Hollywood. If you could justify it, story-wise, it would have been a great callback.
