That means that during the pandemic, very few people saw "Greyhound," and I'll bet many people still haven't. No wonder Tom Hanks was very disappointed. Come to think of it, "Masters of the Air" went largely unnoticed also. That's criminal. |

I had a yearly subscription that ended recently, and I've already cancelled. They have a lot of shows I would like to watch, at some point, but there are a lot of other shows from others streamers I'm more excited about.
Over the whole year that I paid for upfront, I ended up watching very, very little, because there was always something more exciting on the Criterion Channel, or MUBI, or any other streamers. I may still watch those AppleTV+ series somewhere down the line, but I'm definitely not in any hurry to watch those. |

I’ve only watched bits and pieces of Greyhound. Masters of Air is on my list but there’s still a lot to get to before I get to it. I’ve watched Defending Jacob, the first season of the Servant, Truth be Told first season. The Afterparty, Napoleon, Killers of the Flower Moon. Sugar, Platonic. I’m sure there’s more. I really love Apple TV. I didn’t realize it was doing poorly. There’s quite a handful of stuff from them that I’m very interested, it’s just a matter of time that I can’t get to it all.

They have some of the best shows. Severance, Silo, For All Mankind, Dark Matter. I'm gonna be really bummed if we don't get at least one more season to finish up For All Mankind.

Apple output is much better compared to other streamers. Production values and streaming quality is to notch. But still the content is very limited. They only have the shows apple produces and very handfull of movies/shows they produce in an year. Its hard to justify to keep the subscription when compared to the likes of Netflix/Prime.
If they can licence content form studios like Netflix/Amazon does, it makes worthwile even if they increase the price. |

I wonder when content providers will realize (again) they can make more money selling their content to Netflix rather than trying to run an independent streaming service.
Good on Apple for creating quality shows, now they just need to find a better way to “sell” them. |

Apple have some great stuff. Really enjoyed Severance and Silo.
We're working our way through Presumed Innocent right now. The issue I have with that particular series is that Jake Gyllenhaal is a completely unconvincing 'everyman'. He's great in some stuff (like Nightcrawler), but as an ADA with a wife and two kids in the suburbs, I just don't buy him in the role... at all. Not helped by the fact that i've seen the Alan J Pakula adaption of the same novel starring Harrison Ford in the Rusty Sabich role. One of Harrison's greatest strengths was playing ordinary guys in extreme situations, like The Fugitive, Presumed Innocent, Frantic etc. He was always completely convincing. Jake, ehhh, not so much. |

I think they have a lot of great quality series, such as Foundation, For All Mankind, The Morning Show, Severance and Ted Lasso. And also a lot of very entertaining series like Slow Horses, Shining Girls and Black Bird.
We watched a lot till we came to a point that we almost watched everything we wanted and cancelled for the time being (also because of the stiff raise in subscription costs). But we will surely will get a subscription in the future, when more series pop up. |

I’ve watched several of their shows and all have been great. Ted Lasso is probably the best show I’ve seen in years, for its genre. Trying also great for its category. Masters of the Air was outstanding!
The quality is awesome and the price is affordable. |
